I’m Hannah Hall, owner and designer at Fern and Flora Studios. I grew up on a beautiful farm outside of Atlanta, Georgia where there were fields of daffodils, wisteria, quince and wild blackberry brambles down every dirt road. My mother designed florals and I have wonderful memories of foraging greenery for wreaths, Christmas garland and whatever was needed for weddings or celebrations that she was working on.

My hearts true calling is floral design. Living in the Blue Ridge Mountains allows me to source exceptional blooms from the abundance of local flower farmers, always working within the seasons. Sustainable floral practices and respect for our environment are a priority. Flowers have a way of connecting people through life’s most meaningful moments.We feel honored to be a part of your story, and love to help create your vision for whatever your celebration may be.

+ How often do you do workshops?

As often as the busy season allows. We generally let you know about workshop opportunities well in advance, so you'll have time to plan your attendance.

+ Do you do floral installations?

We do! In fact, installation pieces are one of our favorite aspects of floral design. Elevating a space with florals thrills us to no end!

+ Where do you source your florals from?

We work in partnership with local flower farmers and wholesalers, forage seasonal foliage sustainably in the woods, and we grow some varieties of perennials and utilize our own cutting garden

+ How quickly will you get back to me about your availability and what's your deposit policy?

I need to know your policy on deposits and contracts. We require 50% down when the contract is signed, and the remaining balance 2 weeks prior to your event

+ Communication Expectations

We will commit to 2 one hour meetings, either in person or over the phone. The initial meeting will be getting your ideas in place and a q&a about your event. The 2nd meeting at your requested time to go over or finalize proposal, and go over event details, etc. additional meetings are available upon request for an hourly fee, including travel time

+ Day of expectations

This all depends on how we are booked. For full service booking, we are on site with our team to execute your event details For delivery setup options, members of our team will deliver your florals and setup will be agreed upon prior to event Pick up option os also available for a la carte ordering

+ Do you have props and rentals available?

we do! we have a carefully curated collection of vases, lanterns, linens and many other design elements available for rent, and we also work with amazing rental companies that specialize in unique, one of a kind looks

+ Do you travel for destination weddings?

we do indeed, and absolutely love to! contact us directly to inquire

+ Are you practicing sustainability?

We strive to be foam free using current standards of sustainability in our designs, and work hard towards zero waste by reusing flowers after your event and by properly disposing of any scraps.

+ What if my first choices of florals are not available

This happens sometimes depending on the season and availability. we reserve the right , and want you to know that we will make the next best decision and provide alternatives that will look beautiful either way.
